The second option is the Thule Bike Stacker option. The Thule Bike Stacker is a great freestanding heavy duty stand for mounting up to 2 bikes without the need of any fixation to a wall. Flexible in height with a total loading capacity of up to 32 kg. This unit can be placed inside a garage, shed or even outside underneath a sheltered roof.
It is possible that you might encounter problems whit ladies bikes and bikes with no cross bars. However, there is a quick and simple solution by using the Thule Bike Adapter 982. This adapter bridges the gap between the handle bars and the saddle post, giving a support for hanging the bike from either the Bike Stacker or the Wall Hanger. All parts that come in to contact with the bikes are rubberized so there will be no damage done to the bike.
