The Thule 52291 Heat Shield is designed for the Thule G6 EuroClassic 928 and G6 EuroClassic 929 tow ball mounted bike carriers. On certain vehicles where the exhaust pipes are close to the carrier, excessive heat from the vehicle's exhaust(s) can possibly damage the carrier and in extreme cases even the bike! In such cases we recommend fitting the Thule 52291 heat shield for protection. A left and right hand shield and fixings are included. Fixing points are provided on the carrier with no drilling required.
